Three Ideas for Using Snapchat to Reach Generation Z
Does your company use Snapchat? If you’re trying to reach Gen Z, you probably have a company Snapchat account. There are so many things that brands can do with Snapchat now. If you’re pressed for time, try narrowing your focus to just a few ideas. Here are three that I like!
1. Use full audio on your video ads.
Did you know that the average Snapchat user watches 60% of the in-app ads with the sound on? This means that you can incorporate audio branding into your Snapchat video ads. Awesome!
2. Use an on-demand geo-filter to promote a festival.
It’s spring in Chicago, which means that street festivals will be cropping up in no time. If your business is a sponsor of a festival, see if the organizers will help you with a special Geo-Filter for the day. It could be co-branded with the festival name and your company’s logo.
3. Ask the Gen Z’ers at your office to brainstorm AR lenses.
Sponsored lenses are a big part of Snapchat. But knowing they exist is only half the battle. How can your brand uncover what type of lenses Gen Z’ers would use? Ask them! The employees at your company can help you brainstorm the types of lenses that would be fun and authentic. Remember that Gen Z puts a high value on brand authenticity.
